Hearts, St Mirren and Kilmarnock discover European play-off opponents

All three teams are aiming to reach the group stages

Hearts, Kilmarnock and St Mirren have all discovered their opponents in crucial European play-offs.

Hearts, who are bidding to reach the Europa League group stage, will face will face either Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih of Ukraine or Czech side Viktoria Plzen.

Steven Naismith's side will play away from home in the first leg, before the return in the return fixture at Tynecastle on 29 August.

The Jambos will drop in to the Conference League if they fail to progress.

That is the competition that both Kilmarnock and St Mirren are hoping to reach.

Kilmarnock will face either Danish opponents FC Copenhagen or Czech outfit Bakin Ostrava if they progress past Tromso.

Derek McInnes' side will play away from home first.

St Mirren will take on CS Corvinul 1921 Hunedoara of Romania or Kazakhstan's FC Astana, but they must beat SK Brann first.

Both Killie and the Saints will play the first leg of their third round ties at home this Thursday.
