Hearts boss Robbie Neilson named SPFL Championship Manager of the Month
Last updated 14th Jan 2021
Hearts boss Robbie Neilson's been named SPFL Championship Manager of the Month for December - after picking up maximum points in the league and taking Celtic to penalties in the Scottish Cup final.
He's dedicating the award to his players but says their main goal this season is to win promotion back to the Premiership.
"We had a good month," he told this afternoon's press conference. "We go into every game expecting to win it, and we've managed to do that.
"But, ultimately, these awards are down to the players, they're the ones that go out and perform on the pitch; so, I'm really pleased they've managed to pick up maximum points during the month of December."

Hearts are hoping to kick-start their New Year this weekend - when they travel to face Alloa in the Championship.
The Tynecastle side lost their first fixture of 2021 away to Dundee.
And Neilson's not underestimating Saturday's opponent's - after losing to the part-timers in the BetFred Cup earlier this season.
He said: "We're trying to go into January and get as many points as we can; it's not started the way we wanted it to, but we've got a number of games coming up against teams round about us.
"For us, it's just about next game, next game. We had a great December and we'll try to mirror that in January.
"We've brought in Gary Mackay Steven and we're doing a bit of work to try to bring one or two more in, to try to add to the squad, so we can have a good end to the season."
