Hibs bring in Harry Clarke on loan from Arsenal - following Ross County departure
He spent the first half of the season in Dingwall
Hibs have confirmed the loan signing of Arsenal youngster Harry Clarke, after his temporary spell at Ross County was cut short.
The 20-year-old, who mostly played at full-back and wing-back for the Staggies, has impressed with his performances in the Premiership, scoring three goals.
He was recalled by the London giants last week, amid speculation the Hibees would capture him on loan.
This new deal with Hibs runs for 18 months, although Arsenal will have the option to cut it short at the end of this season and in January 2023.
Hibs manager Shaun Maloney said: Shaun Maloney said: “Harry has very good technical attributes in both attacking and defensive actions, and I’m really pleased we’ve been able to secure him for the Club.
“He will bring an exciting energy and speed in both areas, and I have no doubt he’ll be a big asset for us going forward.
“In speaking to him, I know how hungry he is to succeed and be a part of this club and over the coming days I’m very much looking forward to working with him.”
Clarke's stint at Hibs will be his third loan spell from the Gunners, having also featured at English outfit Oldham Athletic.
It's the second signing at Hibs in a single day, following the capture of Ewan Henderson from Celtic.
He joins on an initial loan spell, which will be made permanent at the end of the season.
