Grounds of children's nursery in Tullibody set on fire

The fire means children at the nursery will lose their facilities

Police in Forth Valley are appealing for witnesses after a fire was deliberately started to the rear of a nursery.

The incident occurred between the evening of Friday 14th April and the afternoon of Saturday 15th April at Glenview Nursery, Ochil Street, in Tullibody.

The fire was set to the rear of the property and caused damage to telephone lines, and to a nearby premises.

Police Sergeant Donald Konkol from Alloa Police Station said:

“This was a reckless act which has caused damage to the grounds and a neighbouring premises.

“It has meant that children who attend the nursery will lose the use of the facilities, and it is something which affects those in the community who make use of it.

“We would ask anyone who saw suspicious behaviour in the area around this time or has any other information which may be able to help with our enquiries is asked to get in touch as soon as possible."
