Businesses in Glenrothes have been urged to switch off their wi-fi at night time, in order to prevent young people gathering in the town centre.

Police Scotland came up with the move to tackle anti-social behaviour in the area, after a study found free wi-fi was one of the main attractions for young people gathering at the Glenrothes bus station.

Now officers say that a number of businesses have agreed to the move, and it has led to a drop in the number of incidents in the area.
