Police have named a 29-year-old woman who has died in a one-car crash in Fife.

Police have named a 29-year-old woman who has died in a one-car crash in Fife.

Sharon Smith, from Glasgow, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, on the A985 near High Valleyfield.

She was driving the blue Skoda Fabia when the crash happened around 2.30am on Sunday.

Police Sergeant James Henry, of Fife division's road policing unit, said: This is a tragic incident where a young woman has lost her life and our thoughts are with her family at this time.''

He has asked anyone with information to contact officers.
