Glasgow Airport security lockdown after suspect bag found
Passengers are facing delays following the incident this morning

Passengers attempting to fly out of Glasgow Airport are facing long delays after a suspect item was discovered during hand baggage checks.
At first travellers were prevented from entering the security hall, with queues building up through the terminal.
Three Royal Navy bomb disposal vehicles can be seen parked outside the terminal.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport said: “At approximately 6am Police Scotland attended the airport due to concern around an item in a passengers bag in the central search area.
"Access to this part of the terminal is currently restricted while checks are being carried out meaning passengers arriving at the airport for departing flights will face delays. We are liaising with Police Scotland and will provide an update as soon as we can.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police and emergency services are currently in attendance at an ongoing incident at Glasgow Airport.
"The terminal building has been closed as a precaution, however, not evacuated. No further details available at this time."
Long queues
Forth 1 Head of News for Scotland, Lorraine Herbison, told us: "I've been struck in a really large queue on the second floor, where you go into fast track departures, for about an three-quarters of an hour, and the queue just gets longer and longer.
"We're hearing it's even busier downstairs.
"We're not being told anything. We can see police and security through at the other end of the air bridge but we don't know anything else at this stage."
Evacuation
Then at 8.30 passengers were moved out of the terminal building and into the car park areas, with some being offered foil blankets as protection against the cold.
Frustration
Passengers have been tweeting pictures from inside the terminal and expressing frustration at a lack of information.
