Girl, 10, 'left shaken' after being hit by motorbike in West Lothian

Police are attempting to trace two teenage suspects in connection with the incident

A 10-year-old girl has been “left shaken” after being hit by a motorbike on Saturday night.

The girl was on a footpath between Logan Way and Morrison Way in Knightsbridge, Livingston at around 7.40pm when the incident happened.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and officers are attempting to trace two teenagers in connection.

The two suspects are around 18 to 19-years-old, with one driving a blue and white motorcycle.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Appeal for information

Inspector Kylie Barnard, of Livingston Police Station, said: “The victim and her family have been left shaken by this incident and we are appealing for information to trace those responsible.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3223 of August 6.

“Alternatively, a call can be made anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
