Around a thousand mourners are expected to turn out for the funeral of an 11 year old boy, who died following a crash in a stock car race in Fife.

Tragic Keir Millar sustained fatal injuries during the smash at Lochgelly Raceway on the 11th of May, and was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh where he later passed away.

Little Keir was well known in racing circuits, and just last year won the Ninja Kart Championship in England.

A service will take place at Lochmayben Church at 2pm this afternoon (Friday 22nd May) and around a thousand mourners are expected to attend.

Those attending are being asked to dress casually - and some are planning to wear racing overalls in Keir's honour.
