Four more arrested in Scottish Cup final disorder probe
It brings the total number of arrests in the probe to 32
Four more men have been arrested over the disorder at the Scottish Cup final last month, bringing the total number of arrests to 32.
Officers tasked with tracking down fans over violence and vandalism following the final whistle at the game between Rangers and Hibs on May 21 visited addresses in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Lanarkshire at 6am on Thursday.
Four men - aged 20, 31, 40 and 42 - have been detained in custody over alleged assaults and disorder, and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.
Police Scotland said the action is the latest part of the large-scale investigation, with more arrests expected. Hibs supporters flooded the Hampden pitch following the Leith side's dramatic 3-2 win in Glasgow, with Rangers fans also making it past stewards and onto the turf before mounted officers restored order.
Those arrested previously vary in age from 17 to 50. The 17-year-old was arrested and detained in connection with an alleged assault on Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.
Police are continuing to appeal for information or footage from the match.
Detective Superintendent Kenny Graham said: This investigation is extensive and involves a significant number of people however, we remain committed to identifying those involved and rest assured we will identify people and they will be arrested.
As our investigation progresses, there will be additional arrests and continued police action to track down those responsible.
