Forth Road Bridge to re-open

Forth Road Bridge to reopen on Wednesday morning at 6am except HGV's.

The Forth Road Bridge will re-open to all vehicles except HGV's from 6am on Wednesday 23rd December.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following diversions are in place until it re-opens.

Car Diversion Routes------------------------

Dunfermline to Clackmannanshire Bridge via A907 - A977 to join the A876

Clackmannanshire Bridge to Dunfermline via A977 – B913

Kinross and Perth to Clackmannanshire Bridge Exit M90 at J6 Kinross to join A823 and A977.

Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes both w/b and e/b: via A92 – B914 and A977

A985 open to HGV's, buses and light good vehicles ONLY between Cairneyhill and Longannet between 5am and 8pm. After 8pm overnight all vehicles can use the A985. Open to all vehicles at the weekends. All restrictions this route will be lifted on 23rd December.

Culross Coast Road Police Scotland are advising against the use of this route as it is very narrow between Culross and Longannet.

Bus Services----------------

Stagecoach will be providing extra buses and coaches to operate from the Park and Ride sites at Halbeath and Ferrytoll into Edinburgh.

Rail Services-----------------

The normal ScotRail timetable will continue to operate, with many services being strengthened with extra carriages. In addition to this strengthened timetable, ScotRail will be running regular additional rail services between Inverkeithing and Edinburgh Haymarket throughout the day.
