Former care worker who abused children in Edinburgh jailed for 10 years

A former care worker from Edinburgh who committed a string of horrific attacks on children he was supposed to be looking after has been jailed for 10 years.

Brian Dailey - who's 70 - would threaten his young victims to try and keep them quiet.

The assaults mainly happened in in the 1970s - but many of his victims have been badly affected by what he did.

One said she'd been in and out of mental hospitals all her adult life - and said it was because of what Dailey did to her.

He attacked a number of children - using threats of violence to keep them quiet.

At the High Court in Edinburgh a judge branded the abuse "disturbing."

Dailey's also been made to sign the sex offender's register.
