Flybe announces return of flights from Scotland starting next month
The airline name has been revived two years after it went bust
The Flybe name returns to Glasgow Airport next month with domestic services to Belfast and Birmingham, two years since the previous company collapsed.
The new airline, which has bought the brand name, will start flying from 13th April with 530 flights per week on 23 routes.
There will also be services from Edinburgh and Aberdeen to Birmingham and Belfast City, and from Inverness to Belfast City.
Other destinations in its network include Amsterdam, Avignon, Brest and Toulon.
Scottish aviation struggling
The news comes as the Scottish Affairs Committee warns it could take three years for air travel in Scotland to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
