First person to speak on Radio Forth - Richard Findlay - dies following illness

Richard Findlay - the first person to speak on Radio Forth - has died at the age of 73 following a short illness.

He was a key figure in Scottish radio and television, and helped set up Forth along with a number of other stations and was given a CBE by the Queen in 2013 (pictured).

Richard had most recently been working as the chair of Scotland's national arts funding body Creative Scotland.

He stood down from that role last week.
