WATCH: Edinburgh primary school on fire as parents arrive for pick-up

Emergency services tackled a fire at Davidson's Mains Primary school in Edinburgh on Friday.

Pictures showed black smoke billowing from the roof as parents arrived to collect their children.

Video recorded earlier shows the roof of the dining hall was burning and it understood that solar panel caught light.

Edinburgh City Council has told Forth News that no pupils were in the hall at the time and everyone is safe.

Officials are waiting to access the site to assess the damage.
