Scenes for Avengers: Infinity War were shot in the city last summer.
There is a call for Disney to hold a Scottish premiere for the new Avengers movie in Edinburgh.
Parts of the blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War were shot in the Capital last summer.
Film Edinburgh, which promotes the industry, says a launch event would be the perfect way to say 'thank you' to the city.
The movie, due to hit cinemas in April, is rumoured to be the most expensive ever made with a budget reported to be $1bn.
Film Edinburgh manager, Rosie Ellison told Forth News, "They usually have their premieres in London, but there is nothing to suggest that they have to hold them there.
"We would love it if they came back to hold a premiere in Edinburgh, the council would be up for supporting it.
"It is a really exciting thing for a city to accommodate and we all did it so well for T2 Trainspotting, that was a really big deal
