Female Officer Injured While Carrying Out Arrest In Meadowbank

A female police officer has been injured while carrying out an arrest in the Meadowbank area of Edinburgh last week.

The officer sustained head injuries during the attack, which took place in Whyte Place, in the early hours of Friday morning.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with the assault.

The female officer is recovering in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
