Female cyclist injured in accident on city's tram tracks
A female cyclist has been injured in an accident on the city's tram tracks.
The 25-year-old was cycling along Shandwick Place when the wheels of her bike got caught in the tracks and she fell against a bus.
She was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with leg injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
The accident happened just yards from where 24-year-old Zhi Min Soh died in a near similar crash. Her bike got caught in the tracks causing her to fall into the path of a tour bus.
A Police Scotland says enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of yesterday's accident.
But calls for immediate action have been reignited by cycling campaign group 'Spokes'. We spoke to Ian Maxwell from the group.
