Family pays tribute to woman killed in Fife crash

The family of a woman killed in a crash in Fife have paid tribute to her.

38-year-old Michelle Russell, from Alva in Clackmannashire, was killed after her car collided with a trailer being towed by another car at the Saline Hotel in Fife on August 30.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite the best efforts of the Scottish Ambulance Service, Michelle was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement released through Police Scotland, Michelle's family said: " Michelle was a loved daughter, sister and aunty.

"We will miss her so much and would appreciate complete privacy for the family."

Sergeant Ewan Pearce from Fife's Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts and deepest sympathies remain with Michelle's family at this very difficult time and our inquiries into the full circumstances of this collision continue.

"If you were on the B913 road at the Saline Hotel at around 10am on Thursday and witnessed what happened, or have any other information relevant to our investigation, then please contact police immediately."
