Family left "devastated" after woman dies in Midlothian car crash

A woman who died in a two-car crash in Midlothian has been described as loving and gentle'' by her family.

Rodica Pamphilon, 46, from Ormiston, East Lothian, died when her blue Ford Fiesta was in collision with a Land Rover Discovery Sport on the A68.

The crash happened on the afternoon of Friday August 5 just south of the Cousland junction, north of Pathhead.

The 62-year-old male driver of the Land Rover was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

In a statement issued via police, Ms Pamphilon's family said: Rodica was a loving and gentle woman who was loved by so many.

We are devastated by her loss in such a tragic way. She will be so dearly missed.''
