The Mum of 14-year-old Brad Williamson, a boy who died while joyriding a stolen motorbike in north Edinburgh nearly two years ago, is opening up for the first time about losing her son.

Katie Lothian is speaking exclusively to Forth News about the impact his loss has had on her.

Brad died after crashing the stolen motorbike he was riding on Silverknowes Road on June 10, 2016.

He was rushed to Sick Kids hospital in Edinburgh but died only a few hours later.

Now, his mum Katie is telling Forth News that his loss his left her whole family "lost" and "broken up". She sat down with our senior reporter Hope Webb.

It comes just days after Edinburgh Council admitted that work on a new action plan to tackle the issue is yet to begin, seven months after it was agreed upon. The local authority promised to take action following our #BreakTheCycle campaign, which investigated the issue.

Katie says she's "disgusted" no steps have been taken. She would like to see tougher action on those who take part in motorbike disorder.
