Edinburgh teen found safe and well

A teenager who had been missing for more than a week has been found safe and well. Emma Mooney, 15, had last been seen in the Moredun area of Edinburgh on Thursday February 5 at around 12:30pm. Police and social workers from the City of Edinburgh Council said they were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare. The teenager was found in the city centre early today. A police spokesman said: "Police can confirm that Emma Mooney has been found safe and well in Edinburgh city centre in the early hours of this morning. "Police would like to thank everyone who assisted in the search.''
