Man appears in court charged with murder next to Edinburgh social club

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a disturbance outside a football social club in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Edinburgh City FC's social club in Lochend Road South at about 12.15am on Sunday.
A 49-year-old man was injured during the disturbance and later died in hospital.
Paul Smith, 42, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the incident.
Smith, from the city, made no plea to the murder charge and was remanded in custody.
