There are calls for segregated cycle lanes to be set up throughout Edinburgh as a survey suggests 8 out of 10 road users in the city support the idea.
The cycling charity, Sustrans commissioned the independent research which saw more than 1,000 people questioned.
The majority said they supported separate routes for cyclists even if it means less space on the roads for cars.
There is already a plan to spend £12m creating segregated lanes between The Mound and The Meadows, and another from Roseburn to Edinburgh Park.
But the latest research seems to show most of us would like to see a much wider project.
Sustrans Policy Manager, Claire Daly told Forth News, "If we can make it easier for people to walk and to cycle around this beautiful city and to experience it directly, I think it brings a whole load of benefits.
"Congestion, air quality and people's health will all be improved."
Edinburgh Council says it will take the survey findings into account as it considers the future of transport in the city
