Edinburgh memorial service to be held for Ron Gordon
The Gordon Family, Board of Directors, players and staff will attend
A private memorial is to be held in Edinburgh next week (Tuesday March 7) for Hibernian Chairman Ron Gordon.
Gordon died last month after a battle with cancer at the age of 68.
The service, which will be private due to venue capacity, will take place at Mansfield Traquair in the Capital, starting at 3:30pm.
The Gordon Family, Board of Directors, players, staff and invited guests are all attending.
Gordon will be raid to rest in Washington DC in the United States, where his family live, tomorrow (March 2).
A statement on the club website reads:
"To mark his funeral, the Club will be holding a minute’s silence at Easter Road and HTC, as we remember a great man who was full of enthusiasm and positivity.
"Supporters can continue to send messages and pay their respects to Ron via our online book of condolence by clicking here.
"There will also be tributes made to Ron at both our games in the upcoming week against Livingston and Rangers, including prior to kick-off at our home fixture next Wednesday. More details will be confirmed in due course."
