Edinburgh man who died after struck by vehicle in Burntisland named

Police said inquiries are ongoing

The family of a man who died after being struck by a vehicle in Fife said he was "very much loved".

David Whitehurst, 61, from Edinburgh, was hit at Burntisland Industrial Units, Forth Place, Burntisland, last month.

Police were called to a report of concern for a person at 9.20pm on Monday January 27.

Emergency services attended and Mr Whitehurst was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family said in a statement, via Police Scotland, that he was "very much loved by family and everyone that knew him".

Police said inquiries are ongoing.
