Edinburgh man jailed indefinitely for raping two teenagers
An Edinburgh man who raped two vulnerable teenagers on the same night has been jailed indefinitely.
Raymond Nyiam, also known as Otu Nyiam, was convicted at the High Court in Edinburgh in April of attacking the two victims after meeting them at a nightclub in the city on 19 February 2019.
The 35-year-old took the teenagers to a flat, where he raped them while they were either asleep or unconscious due to the effects of alcohol and unable to give consent.
On Tuesday, Nyiam was made subject to an Order for Lifelong Restriction - meaning he must serve a minimum of four years before the Parole Board can decide if he can safely be released.
He has also been placed on the sex offenders register for life and given an indefinite non-harassment order.
