Edinburgh man dies after being found injured in park on Hogmanay
Police were called to The Meadows at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night
A man has died after being found seriously injured at an Edinburgh park on Hogmanay.
Police were called to The Meadows at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night following a report of a man injured.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are treating the death as “unexplained” – but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.35pm on Wednesday, 31 December, 2025, officers were called to Middle Meadow Walk, Edinburgh, following a report of a man injured.
“Emergency services attended however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
