Edinburgh man charged with attempted murder after Tube train hits passenger

An Edinburgh man has been charged with attempted murder after a tube passenger was hit by a train during rush-hour.

Alan Alencar was detained by police after the incident at Bayswater Underground station, in Central London on Thursday.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital, but his injuries were not life threatening.

The 29-year-old, who lives on Northcote Street in Edinburgh, will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday.
