Edinburgh's Hogmanay street party tickets going on sale
They go on sale this morning.
Tickets for Edinburgh's Hogmanay street party are to go on sale this morning (27th July).
The world-famous event entertained 75,000 people from more than 80 countries last year.
Organisers said this year's line-up will be a "closely-guarded secret'' until the autumn but promise live music and DJ sets "featuring leading artists from Scotland and beyond''.
Celebrations culminate with the countdown to the bells and more than six tonnes of fireworks being launched from Edinburgh Castle at midnight - broadcast to an estimated global TV audience of more than one billion.
Al Thomson, of Unique Events, which organises the festival for Edinburgh City Council, said: We are already experiencing a huge interest from around the world for tickets to the street party.
Last year we welcomed visitors from over 80 countries to join the capital's three-day celebrations and we can't wait for Edinburgh to once again show the world how to party at the 'home of hogmanay'.''
Tickets go on sale at 10am.
