'Not cool' Edinburgh driver stopped in middle of road with frozen windscreen
They were fined £50
It has emerged an Edinburgh driver was spotted in the middle of the road with a frozen windscreen.
Police in Wester Hailes pulled them over in Hailesland and fined them £50 on Wednesday morning.
Posting on X, Police Scotland South West Edinburgh said "It seems not everyone saw our post yesterday.
"Driver stopped in Hailesland this morning by Wester Hailes Team 5 Response officers.
"Windscreen not cleared and driving in the middle of the road.
"Not cool. Could you see pedestrians or traffic? £50 fine issued.
It comes following a similar incident in Dumfries, where a van driver was banned from the roads after getting behind the wheel with their windows covered with a sheet of ice.
They were also given a £500 fine.
