Man charged in connection with assault, robbery and vandalism in West Lothian

A man has been charged in connection with an assault, robbery and act of vandalism in Addiewell at the weekend.

Police in West Lothian have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man in connection with a robbery, an assault and vandalism in Addiewell.

The first incident occurred around 1am on Saturday, 23 July, 2022, when a 43-year-old man was assaulted and money and a mobile phone were stolen from a property in the Mooreland area of Addiewell.

The second incident occurred around 2.30am on Saturday, 23 July, when a 71-year-old man was assaulted on Loganlea Road in Addiewell.

Around 3.30pm on Saturday, 23 July, officers also received reports of vandalism at a property on Mooreland Gardens, Addiewell.

The 26-year-old man is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court today (Monday, 25 July).

Two men, aged 18 and 23, were also arrested in connection with the incidents and released pending further enquiries.
