Man rescued with serious injuries in Dunbar

The police and multiple coastguard teams were involved in the operation

A man has been rescued in a joint police and coastguard operation in Dunbar.

An incident was reported in Marine Drive at about 4pm on Friday.

Teams from North Berwick, Dunbar and Eyemouth Coastguard were involved in the rescue.

The man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received report of concern for a person in the Marine Road area of Dunbar, around 4pm on Friday January 7 2022."
