Evacuated Ukrainian orphans to arrive in Scotland tonight
Charity Dnipro Kids has finally been given the greenlight and their flight to bring 52 orphans to Scotland will depart tonight
Edinburgh charity Dnipro Kids will finally arrive back in Scotland tonight (March 23rd) with 52 Ukrainian orphans.
The children were evacuated after the Russian invasion by the charity originally started after a football match.
There have been ongoing efforts to bring the children to Scotland, where they can be best cared for.
Now it's been confirmed, after overcoming paperwork red tape, that they will be flown over tonight.
The flight will depart soon to arrive in Warsaw and collect the children and their carers.
They will then go to Callander near Stirling where they'll be set up with a place to stay.
