'Our lives have changed forever': relatives pay tribute to 13-year-old who died on railway near Bathgate

The family of 13-year-old Devin Gordon, who died on the railway near Bathgate, have paid an emotional tribute to him.

British Tranpsort Police say they were called to the line in West Lothian at 2.43pm on Wednesday the 19th January, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say his death is not being treated as suspicious.

'Devin will live in our hearts forever'

Tributes have been paid on social media to Devin, who played football with Bathgate Juniors.

In a statement issued through police, his family said: “Our lives have changed forever and will never be the same without our precious boy.

"We will miss him every day for the rest of our lives.

“Thank you to everyone that’s payed tribute to Devin and those that have sent us condolence messages during this extremely difficult time.

“We would like to ask that our privacy is respected as we come to terms with the tragic loss of our young son.

“Devin will live in our hearts forever”.
