Death of woman found injured in Fife garden not suspicious

The death of a woman found injured in a Fife garden is not being treated as suspicious.

The woman, in her 60s, was found outside a property in Izatt Avenue, Dunfermline, at around 8am on Monday.

She was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy but died on Monday afternoon.

Police started an investigation but have now confirmed the death is not suspicious.

Detective Inspector Paul Dick said: Her family have been fully informed of this development and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.'
