Cyclist seriously injured after bus collision in Livingston

Police appealing for witnesses after incident on Almondvale Avenue

A cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a crash with a bus in West Lothian.

The incident happened at around 7.45pm on Friday at Almondvale Avenue in Livingston.

Emergency services attended and the 21-year-old cyclist was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

The seriousness of his injuries was not confirmed until later.

Sergeant Stephen Quinn said: We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not spoken to officers to come forward.

We are also appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who has dashcam footage or any other information which may assist to get in touch.''
