Police are appealing for help in tracing a man from Rosyth who's been missing for nearly a week.

Michael Moloney is believed to have been in the Kirkcaldy area overnight on Sunday 29th July, and was last seen at 11am on Monday 30th July in the area of Victoria Road, Kirkcaldy.

The 26-year-old has not been in touch with his family since then, and concerns are growing for his welfare.

Michael is described as around 5’5” tall, slim build, with short brown hair and heavy dark growth on his face. He was last known to be wearing a dark coloured tracksuit and was in possession of a dark rucksack.

Inspector Tony Rogers of Dunfermline Police Station said: ''Michael has now been out of contact with his family for several days and we are becoming increasingly concerned for him.

We are asking for anyone who may have seen or spoken to him in recent days to contact us as soon as possible.''

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 775 of 30th July.
