Chris Cadden has signed a two-year contract extension with Hibs.

The 28-year-old “model professional” has penned a new deal which will see him stay at Easter Road until summer 2027.

Since joining in January 2021, the Scotland international has made 129 appearances for the Hibees in all competitions and has played a key role in their turnaround this season.

On the right wing-back’s new deal, Hibs Head Coach David Gray said: “We’re really pleased that Chris has committed his future to Hibs; he thoroughly deserves this new deal.

“During my time at the Club, he has been performing at a high-level and been a mainstay of the starting XI. He’s a model professional at the training ground, a great character in the dressing room, and understands what it means to play for Hibs.

“We look forward to continue working with him over the next two seasons.”

Sporting Director Malky Mackay added: “Chris is a top professional and is exactly the type of character we want at Hibs.

“Every squad needs players who are role models for youngsters. Those who lead by example, in terms of how they train, how they act day-to-day and how they represent our badge. Chris embodies these qualities and the culture at HTC is better for him being part of our club.

“We look forward to seeing him perform, with that consistency he has shown, over the next couple of years.”
