Cast of 'Avengers: Infinity War' to arrive in Edinburgh next month
Further details about the filming of the new Avengers movie in Edinburgh have been released.
Film Edinburgh says around 400 crew members will be shooting the blockbuster across Edinburgh's old town and Waverley train station for the next six weeks.
Some of the cast - which includes Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jnr and Chris Evans - will then arrive in the capital mid-April.
The logistics of the filming have been a year in the making, with Film Edinburgh, the city region’s film office, the City of Edinburgh Council and Creative Scotland working with the production team to facilitate all aspects of the production schedule and needs across the iconic World Heritage Site locations.
It's expected that the production will generate £10m for the local economy.
It is rumoured that the film will be partly set in Edinburgh but that is yet to be confirmed by the production company.
The first Avengers film brought in a total of over £600m at the box office when it was released in 2013.
