Cash stolen from Whitburn garage

Cash has been stolen from a West Lothian petrol station.

It happened at the Shell Garage in Baillie Street, Whitburn around 3am on Saturday 9th December.

A man entered the garage and demanded money before making off with a three-figure sum.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of medium build and was wearing all dark clothing.

Detective Constable Barry Carlin of Livingston CID said: “Thankfully, no one was hurt during this incident however we’re urging anyone who can assist with our investigation to come forward.

“Anyone who may have seen the suspect, who recognises his description or who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area is asked to get in touch as soon as possible.”
