Call For Energy Drinks To Be Banned For Under 16's

Caffeine-packed energy drinks are fuelling a rise in bad behaviour in the classroom - and now there's a call for them to be banned to under 16's.

The Educational Institute of Scotland is making the claim for it to be illegal to sell the likes of Red Bull and Monster to teenagers.

They say there is evidence to suggest pupils consuming them at lunchtime are hyperactive in the afternoons.

The cans already state they are 'unsuitable for children' on the back of them, which the EIS feels bolsters their case to get them prohibited.
