Body of woman discovered in Edinburgh

The body of a woman has been found in Edinburgh's Granton View.

Police say the discovery was made around 11.15 this morning.

The family of local missing woman Elaine McArthur, who hasn't been seen since Saturday, 18 April, have been made aware.

Officers say formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
