Police in Fife have confirmed that a body has been found during the search for missing teenager Libbi Toledo in Kirkcaldy.
Officers discovered the body of a female in a disused scrapyard at the junction between Denburn Road and Smeaton road at around 2.20pm on Thursday (21 Sept).
Libbi, 17, disappeared from her home in the town on Monday 11th September prompting a huge search effort and a heartfelt appeal from her family.
Her devastated mother, Judi had been about to address the media at a press call on Thursday afternoon at Kirkcaldy Police Station, but it was called off due to a 'significant development' in the case.
Formal identification of the body is yet to take place and the death is currently being treated as 'unexplained' by police.
