Body found in public park in Dunfermline

An investigation's continuing after a body of a 20 year old woman was found in a public park in Dunfermline.

It's understood a dog walker made the grim discovery at around 7.30am today.

The death isn't thought to be suspicious.

A police spokesman said: "Police in Fife were called to Headwell Road in Dunfermline around 7.30am on Wednesday 5th October after the body of a 20 year old woman was found.

"Next of kin have now been traced, and officers are supporting them at this difficult time.

"Enquiries into the death are ongoing, however there are not currently believed to be suspicious circumstances."
