Body found in search for missing man John Muir

Police in Musselburgh have discovered a body in the search for missing man John Muir.

The remains were found in the New Street area of the town at around 10am today (Tuesday).

Formal identification is yet to take place but Mr Muir's next of kin have been informed.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
