Biker, 51, fighting for life after collision with parked car in Grangemouth

A biker is fighting for life in hospital after he collided with a parked car in Grangemouth.

The 51-year-old man crashed on Portal Road, near to Wavell Street, on Wednesday around 9.30pm while riding a green CXX off-road scrambler motorcycle.

He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where his condition is described as serious.

The road was closed to allow for crash investigation to be carried out and reopened around 6.20am.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Road Policing Sergeant Elaine Scott said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to police to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was travelling on the road around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
