President Joe Biden is coming to Glasgow for the Cop26 climate conference.

It was already expected he'd make the trip for the vital discussions around climate change, but this is the first time the Whitehouse have officially confirmed he will attend in person.

Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will first travel to Rome for the G20 Leaders' Summit on October 30th through to the next day.

During this time they'll also visit the Vatican City and meet with Pope Francis, who was confirmed earlier this month as not attending the climate conference in Glasgow.

Then they'll fly to Scotland for the event which is set to take over Glasgow city centre for the first two weeks of November.

The Whitehouse confirmed in a press release:

'From Rome, President Biden will travel to Glasgow, United Kingdom from November 1-2 to participate in the World Leader Summit at the start of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).'
