The best friend of a "brilliant" workman killed after falling from the roof of an Edinburgh mansion has paid tribute to him.

21-year-old Nathan Craig was killed while working on the 19th century Muirhouse Mansion on Marine Drive on Tuesday.

Best friend James McGhee told Forth News: "Nathan was a brilliant guy. Wherever he went he always made pals and was always making everyone laugh. I grew up with him. I used to speak to him everyday, went to the gym together, went out drinking together, we did everything together. We've had alot of good times and bad times together.

"Everybody will miss him. My brother, alot of my family were close to him. We've all had alot of memories with him. He's the kind of guy that everyone has memories with. He'll be one missed guy."

James has now set up a fundraising page to help support Nathan's family following his death: https://www.gofundme.com/nathan-craig
