Augustyn and Pallardo to leave Hearts

Their contracts expire at the end of the season

Hearts have announced the imminent departures of Blazej Augustyn and Miguel Pallardo.

The pair will leave Tynecastle once their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Spanish midfielder Pallardo was a key player in Hearts' Championship-winning campaign but the 29-year-old has been less influential recently, making 19 appearances this season.

Polish centre-back Augustyn made 27 appearances after joining from Gornik Zabrze in June.

Head coach Robbie Neilson told Hearts News: We had discussions with Blazej and Miguel, and all parties decided the time was right for the guys to continue their careers elsewhere.

Miguel has been a great servant to the club and was a vital part in helping us to get out of the Championship last season.

He hasn't played as much as he would've liked this season, and he's now at an age where he wants to play football every week, so we have no qualms about letting him move on and advance his career in pastures new.

Blazej came in and has been a really important part of the team. Our defence is the second best in the Premiership and he has played a major part in that.

He's helped improve the team and taken us to the next level, so he leaves with our best wishes.

Both Miguel and Blazej have made big contributions to the club reestablishing itself at the top end of the league so for that, on behalf of everyone at Hearts, I thank them and wish them both the very best in the future.''
